SHIPPING POLICY

Where we ship

We ship to the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C. only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other US territories, or APO/FPO addresses. For a quote outside the lower 48, contact us at (888) 819-3622 or Support@shopdesigns.co.

How shipping is calculated

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on what is in your cart. Rates differ by product line because the products differ enormously in size and handling. The rate shown at checkout is the rate you pay, with the single exception of VersaCourt courts, which are explained below.

Basketball hoops and court light poles

These items ship by freight with curbside delivery. Freight is charged per item. An order for two hoops carries two freight charges, calculated automatically at checkout. There is no separate invoice to wait for.

Curbside delivery means the carrier removes the shipment from the truck and leaves it at your curb or in your driveway. It does not include setup, assembly, or moving the shipment into a garage, backyard or other location. Additional requests made of the driver may result in additional charges billed to you.

A signature is required. The carrier will contact you to arrange a delivery window, usually between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Delivery cannot be completed without someone present to sign.

Access. If a freight truck cannot travel down your road or driveway, delivery cannot be completed and you may be required to collect the order from the nearest carrier terminal. Orders returned to us as undeliverable are subject to a restocking fee plus the original freight cost, as set out in Section 8 of our Return and Refund Policy.

Inspect your delivery before you sign

You are responsible for checking the delivery for correctness and damage before signing. Confirm the correct number of boxes has arrived and inspect all items, especially glass backboards.

If anything is damaged, write it on the delivery receipt before you sign. The freight carrier, not the manufacturer and not Shop Designs, is responsible for damage that occurs in transit. Signing a clean delivery receipt releases the carrier from that liability and no claim can be made afterwards.

Do not refuse the delivery. Note the damage on the receipt, photograph it, accept the shipment, and contact us at (888) 819-3622 or Support@shopdesigns.co. We will arrange a replacement part. If one part is damaged you can still install the rest while the replacement is on its way.

VersaCourt courts

VersaCourt courts are manufactured to your specification. Final freight depends on the finished court's size and weight and cannot be determined until the court is built and crated.

The amount shown at checkout is a freight deposit, not the full shipping cost. The deposit is $500, $1,200, $2,000 or $3,000 depending on the size of your order. When your court is ready to ship we calculate the actual freight and invoice you for the balance. If the final freight cost is less than the deposit you paid, we refund the difference. The shipment is not released until freight is paid in full.

Because these courts are made to order, cancellation and refund terms differ. See Section 9 of our Return and Refund Policy.

Swisstrax flooring

Swisstrax tile and edging ship by weight. The rate is calculated at checkout based on the total weight of your order.

Most orders ship by standard parcel carrier and the rate shown at checkout is the rate you pay.

Large orders ship by freight. An order over 400 lbs, roughly 110 Vinyltrax tiles or 270 Ribtrax Pro tiles, is too heavy for parcel and moves on a pallet. On those orders the amount shown at checkout is a freight deposit, not a final charge. Once your order is crated we get the real weight and a carrier quote. If the actual freight is less than the deposit, we refund you the difference. If it is more, we invoice you for the difference and it must be paid before the order ships. We will always contact you with the figure first, and nothing ships until the freight is agreed with you.

Processing and transit times

Orders are typically processed within 1 to 2 business days. Most items ship directly from the manufacturer. Transit times vary by destination and are not guaranteed. Delivery dates provided by carriers are estimates. We are not liable for delays in shipment or delivery.

If a shipping address is changed after an order is placed, additional charges may apply.
